Harvest Monday 8/26/13

It's Harvest Monday at Daphne's Dandelions.
The beans are coming in strong this week. I picked 6lb 7oz. Peppers are doing pretty good too.

    1. Freeze or can as much as I can and stuff my family with the rest until they can't take anymore!

  4. That is a nice glut of beans! I love the mix of colors in the bowl. Don't you wish the purple ones would stay purple when you cook them!

    1. I have blanched and froze the beans. I have canned some tomatoes and froze some. I freeze the hot peppers, but feed the sweet ones to the family, if they were frozen they would only be good cooked when thawed and my family likes to eat them raw! I have frozen a bunch of shredded zucchini but I think I am at my limit there! Need to make some fresh zucchini bread before my son has a fit!

  8. I love all the bean colors, and I also wish the purples would keep their color. I had a few purple ones early on, but now my beans are all green.
